The Chateau de Versailles profiled

This beautifully illustrated armchair afternoon lecture will profile the world famous royal chateau of Versailles. Much of this building was designed by Louis Le Vau under the orders of the ‘Sun King”, Louis XIV. The chateau is set in stunning landscaped gardens created by André Le Nôtre. Versailles illustrates how the French monarch and court lived in a truly spectacular style. Following the lecture we will enjoy a glass of French champagne to toast the festive season.
